General Operating Support: Arts

This program offers unrestricted, general operating support grants to arts and cultural nonprofits that are physically based in San Francisco and have as their primary purpose the public performance or display of art in San Francisco.

Applications for this grant program opens on November 15, 2019 and closes on February 14, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.

We request that applicants follow these four steps when applying. The application process may prove more difficult for those who do not follow this suggested workflow.

Step 1
Review eligibility criteria, guidelines and staff reviewing tools about the application here. Only those organizations found to meet GFTA’s eligibility criteria may apply.

Step 2
Review the application questions found here as part our General Operating Support Application Online Portal Guide. We strongly recommend reviewing this guide and following the workflow before accessing the online application.

Step 3
You will also need to download and submit, as a required attachment, the narrative proposal questions form. Adobe Reader is required to utilize the fill-in aspects of the form.

Step 4
Register and log into our Salesforce Application System. The Salesforce Guide may be found here.

For additional support, Intersection for the Arts will be hosting workshops and labs designed to assist applicants with applying. A schedule of these workshops may be found here.
